看哪，我的僕人─我所扶持所揀選、心裏所喜悅的！我已將我的靈賜給他；他必將公理傳給外邦。 1 「Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations.
壓傷的蘆葦，他不折斷；將殘的燈火，他不吹滅。他憑真實將公理傳開。 3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
他不灰心，也不喪膽，直到他在地上設立公理；海島都等候他的訓誨。 4 he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.」
創造諸天，鋪張穹蒼，將地和地所出的一併鋪開，賜氣息給地上的眾人，又賜靈性給行在其上之人的神耶和華，他如此說： 5 This is what God the LORD says-- he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
我─耶和華憑公義召你，必攙扶你的手，保守你，使你作眾民的中保〔中保：原文是約〕，作外邦人的光， 6 「I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
看哪，先前的事已經成就，現在我將新事說明，這事未發以先，我就說給你們聽。 9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.」
航海的和海中所有的，海島和其上的居民，都當向耶和華唱新歌，從地極讚美他。 10 Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.
曠野和其中的城邑，並基達人居住的村莊都當揚聲；西拉的居民當歡呼，在山頂上吶喊。 11 Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.
耶和華必像勇士出去，必像戰士激動熱心，要喊叫，大聲吶喊，要用大力攻擊仇敵。 13 The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
我許久閉口不言，靜默不語；現在我要喊叫，像產難的婦人；我要急氣而喘哮。 14 「For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.
我要使大山小岡變為荒場，使其上的花草都枯乾；我要使江河變為洲島，使水池都乾涸。 15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their vegetation; I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools.
我要引瞎子行不認識的道，領他們走不知道的路；在他們面前使黑暗變為光明，使彎曲變為平直。這些事我都要行，並不離棄他們。 16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
誰比我的僕人眼瞎呢？誰比我差遣的使者耳聾呢？誰瞎眼像那與我和好的？誰瞎眼像耶和華的僕人呢？ 19 Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one committed to me, blind like the servant of the LORD?
但這百姓是被搶被奪的，都牢籠在坑中，隱藏在獄裏；他們作掠物，無人拯救，作擄物，無人說交還。 22 But this is a people plundered and looted, all of them trapped in pits or hidden away in prisons. They have become plunder, with no one to rescue them; they have been made loot, with no one to say, 「Send them back.」
誰將雅各交出當作擄物，將以色列交給搶奪的呢？豈不是耶和華嗎？就是我們所得罪的那位。他們不肯遵行他的道，也不聽從他的訓誨。 24 Who handed Jacob over to become loot, and Israel to the plunderers? Was it not the LORD, against whom we have sinned? For they would not follow his ways; they did not obey his law.
所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和爭戰的勇力傾倒在以色列的身上。在他四圍如火著起，他還不知道，燒著他，他也不介意。 25 So he poured out on them his burning anger, the violence of war. It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand; it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.
May 15 "Men see not the bright light which is in the clouds." (Job 37:21.) ＴHE world owes much of its beauty to cloudland. The unchanging blue of the Italian sky hardly compensates for the changefulness and glory of the clouds. Earth would become a wilderness apart from their ministry. There are clouds in human life, shadowing, refreshing, and sometimes draping it in blackness of night; but there is never a cloud without its bright light. "I do set my bow in the cloud!" If we could see the clouds from the others side where they lie in billowy glory, bathed in the light they intercept, like heaped ranges of Alps, we should be amazed at their splendid magnificence. We look at their under side; but who shall describe the bright light that bathes their summits and searches their valleys and is reflected from every pinnacle of their expanse? Is not every drop drinking in health-giving qualities, which it will carry to the earth? O child of God! If you could see your sorrows and troubles from the other side; if instead of looking up at them from earth, you would look down on them from the heavenly places where you sit with Christ; if you knew how they are reflecting in prismatic beauty before the gaze of Heaven, the bright light of Christ's face, you would be content that they should cast their deep shadows over the mountain slopes of existence. Only remember that clouds are always moving and passing before God's cleansing wind. ─Selected. "I cannot know why suddenly the storm Should rage so fiercely round me in its wrath; But this I know─God watches all my path, And I can trust. "I may not draw aside the mystic veil That hides the unknown future from my sight, Nor know if for me waits the dark or light; But I can trust. "I have no power to look across the tide, To see while here the land beyond the river; But this I know─I shall be God's forever; So I can trust."
